What made you get into art?

Being totally unsportsmanlike and with a lack of talent to deal with numbers. I could only draw quite well. However, I am personally more interested in the new media. My tool is the computer. I haven't used a brush in this millennium.

What challenges do you have as an artist?

First of all, there are the very mundane things. To be able to survive. Something delicious on the table is enough challenge.

What’s your inspiration?

Inspirations, like ideas, are completely irrelevant. Art only arises in the mind against one's own inadequacies. Only a rhythm causes emotions. Not wanting to make it beautiful, or to get on the nerves of fellow human beings with their own state of mind. That is then pure vanity and the opposite of art.

If you could own any piece of art ever created what would you choose?

Oh, very difficult question. I'm too much fan of so many things that I count among the good for that. I don't need to have the original either. I spontaneously think of the work of Syd Mead, or Eyvind Earle. Martin Kippenberger too. "Vigilante justice through wrong purchases", the title alone is excellent.
