Name:

Joachim Schulz, alias JoSCH

How did you come to art?

I think art came to me and stayed.

What challenges do you face as an artist?
"At the end of every work there is a creative satisfaction."

I dene that is the challenge: to stay on one's path of originality and not be tempted to mass produce.

What is your inspiration?

Well, some sculpture is a spontaneous idea, sometimes the support of wood or stone is there first and I think about what fits on it. I like to combine the modern building material concrete with old wooden beams. I see things in my surroundings and immediately think - can that also be done in concrete?

What is your dream?

My dream was to exhibit in a gallery. The next step would probably be to see one of my artworks in a museum.

If you could own any piece of art ever created, what would you choose?
A sculpture by Alberto Giacometti. An artist I like very much and who has also inspired me to create one or two works of art.
